Fired up, Ready to Go!

What an increadible day today marks in American history! Regardless of the election outcome tonight (and if you've been reading this blog you know which way I'm hoping it goes), we are part of a powerful movement taking place in our country. I am so proud to be an American again. To think about how far we've come in the past 50 years is remarkable. I had tears in my eyes this morning explaining to my kids that just 45 years ago, African Americans were not able to vote. To have an African American presidential candidate and a female vice presidential candidate is truly a sign of progress. Of course, there is still a long road ahead to diminish discrimination, be it gender, race, religious or sexual orientation, but we are moving in the right direction. Viva America!
